About Shirley Smith
I love everything about Real Estate! As a native Californian, I purchased my first property when I was 19 years old. Having a knack for remodeling, I continued to purchase and project manage several renovations in the USA and Australia, where I lived for many years. Not only professionally, but personally I understand firsthand everything it takes to relocate to a new city, state or even country!
My former career as a psychotherapist, executive coach and best-selling author of five books, provided me with solid negotiation skills, as well as the ability to really listen. I know how to ask the right questions to draw out what people truly need and desire in a home or investment property and accentuate the key features to focus on in selling a property for maximum profit.
Living in Coronado, the two markets I specialize and work in are Global Luxury and Military Relocation. I have certifications in both and have achieved the Sterling Award for the past two years being in the top 5% of sales Internationally. I have personally built and purchased luxury homes, as well as helped many clients do the same. Working with a high percentage of military clients is especially rewarding because I appreciate the values of integrity, trust and service.

I bring a unique blend of discipline, dedication, and a commitment to service to the world of real estate. My journey began when I enlisted in the United States Navy straight out of high school, embarking on an adventure that would shape my character and instill in me a profound sense of responsibility. After completing my active-duty contract, I transitioned seamlessly into the role of an active Navy reservist, where I continue to serve my country with pride.
My military experience gave me a deep understanding of the challenges that our military community faces and in 2022, I realized that real estate is a field where I could leverage my military background to assist fellow service members in realizing their homeownership dreams. That realization, combined with my love of the San Diego area, drove my decision to make real estate sales my career – and at this point my passion.
